![]() They could spawn on plants, begin to feed on them taking food away from the leaf cutters, and eventually envelop said plant in their tent making it nearly impossible for the ants to properly harvest the leaves for a duration of time. I understand they would be an overworld entity, but they are social insects and could pose a check to the leaf cutters current monopoly on leaf collection. It was already said, but honeypot ants for sure are at the top of my list for ants, although not entirely sure how they would make their place in the game.Ī completely novel suggestion is tent caterpillars which would not likely be player controlled. But I'm not sure if that's really doable in the confines of this game. I know they're Queen/King structure is also more flexible, with replacements possible in nature. If noticed sending out the soldier termites to defend the colony with their chemical defenses. I think it would be a blast to play as them, attempting to avoid ants by only gathering wood at night. Termites as a whole seem to be more defensively oriented in comparison to ants, coming out at night, and attempting to keep their colonies hidden from the world. While it was a kickstarter goal, I would like to say I appreciate the inclusion of termites into the game, specifically the formosan termites which I'm fairly certain was what was voted on. I know this will take a while for the developers to implement if they do decide to but it will be worth it!!! The cost of both driver ant majors in tech tree will cost 400-500 royal jellyĪnd this is my suggestion for driver ants! Here are formicarium abilitys if devs want to add driver ants to storyĭriver ant majors will have 20% more attack damage and attack speed, additionally when gathering food from a dead insect, if the driver ant major is collecting with this ability it will give 10 more food from the dead insect (part) for example, a driver ant major collects a devils coach horse larvae with this ability, the devils coach horse will give 25 instead of 15,ĭriver ant majors will have 25-30% more health and will be completely immune to any type of damage while charging.īoth of the left side ability's will cost 85 royal jellyĭangerous charge: (again i couldn't think of a creative name) the driver ants will be able to push farther (if bulldozer) or stun (if intense charge) too big insects (adult praying mantis and large and huge whip spider) but damage remains the sameĮnraged charge: the driver ants will lack the ability to push farther (if bulldozer) or stun (if intense charge)any too big insects, but will deal 30-40% more damage when charging, to calculate, lets just say it can one shot a devils coach horse adult with this ability When at level 3, when the driver ant major charges the insect will be stunned for 1 more second and after out of stunned rate will be confused for 5-6 seconds (an insect cannot be stunned if its really big but can be confused) Intense charge: (i can't think of a good name so this is the best i can think of) Within a certain range a driver ant major will charge, it will not push insects farther but will deal a little higher damage and will stun the insects for 5 seconds. When at level 3, when the driver ant major charges it will deal poison damage for 10-15 seconds (the type of poison damage when the grasshopper spins) Within a certain range a driver ant major will charge dealing damage and pushing the enemy's farther (cannot push enemy's farther if its a really big insect like adult praying mantis or large and huge whip spider). The driver ant Majors: the majors have high health and have high damage, their cost to place a tile of major will be 160-170, to hatch a major ant it will cost 15-16 food (again developers choice of the cost to place tile of major) The driver ant Workers/Minors, also just like all workers but can have slightly higher damage and could cost 20-30 food, to hatch it will always be 2 food (developers choice of the cost to place tile) The queen is like all queens, except she has a really long abdomen, she could have her starting The units: this will talk about the queen, minor and major ant, including their cost The Driver ants, now i know the devs don't add multiple species of one ant but i would really like to see driver ants as a species in the game even though there is a species of army ants already, perhaps as a playabe freeplay species? ![]() Finally, the extensive appendices and a thorough index make the text a valuable and easy-to-use reference tool. ![]() Sentence structure, with a special emphasis on subordinated structures, appears in the third part of the book.
